On the occasion of 21st February – The International mother language day, our school announced a literary competition with the theme: “Gracefulness towards our mother tongue – our duty and holy right”. Many students from the 3rd to the 9th grade entered the competition with their personal literary works, which were divided into two categories: writing a poem for the students from 3rd to 5th grade and writing an essay for the students from 6th to 9th grade. The competition committee made of teachers and based on the established criteria assessed all literary works and chose the best works:
In the category for students in lower grades:
1st place: Marija Kuzmanovska 5-1 grade
2nd place: Jakov Pavlovski 4-1 grade
3rd place: Lana Nastevska 3-2 grade
In the category for students in higher grades:
1st place: Veronika Ilijevska Toskovska 6-6 grade
2nd place: Aleksandar Cvetkovski 6-1 grade
3rd place: Vanesa Dimovska 7-5 grade
On 26.02.2021 at 13 o’clock, a literary event was held, where the awarded and praised students read their works. The event was held online using MS Teams. On the event, which was organized by our school librarian Miss Blagica Angelovska, apart from all the awarded and praised students, the teachers-mentors were also present as well as other members of the local community. At the beginning, our librarian greeted the guests with a warm welcome and presented the occasion for which the event is being held: 21st February – The International mother language day. This was followed by the recital of the poem “Vesilka” by Blazhe Koneski, the founder of the Macedonian literary language. After this, the awarded and praised students read their works and showed their respect, love and dignity towards our mother language.
