Welcome to the digital newspaper of our school
Secondary School students from “Maestre de Calatrava” in Ciudad Real, together with some teachers, have participated in some workshops based on journalistic texts. They were taught by the Department of Spanish Language and Literature and took place from the 3rd to the 10th of November. There was a wide set of activities taking place in some lessons of the school.
The workshops were developed during the Spanish Language and Literature lessons. First, they started with some basic theoretical notions about the concept of “the news”. Then, students worked on the creation of their own articles. With this, 3ºESO students (3rd year students, Compulsory Secondary Education) were able to apply this knowledge into a practical way thanks to all the concepts learnt throught these workshops.
The aim of these workshops is to enhance the ERASMUS project by sharing a digital newspaper called “Calatrava Times” with other European countries. Then, they make exchanges of different articles written in English language so as to promote the use of this universal language among students. The countries that are under this project are Croatia, Serbia, North Macedonia, and Romania. In the near future, some representatives of these countries will have the opportunity of visiting our country, Spain. /3ºB; foto: C.L.C./
