Some students spend a lot of time on their cell phones, even at night. It was one of the data that workshop leader Stojanka Lesički, pointed out at the workshop “Parenting digital generation” (February 9, 2022).
The workshop was held for parents of students 8. b grade. Citing the advantages and disadvantages of children’s participation in social networks and the Internet, the workshop leader invited all parents present to create their own family rules for their children’s participation in social networks and the Internet. The workshop was held online through the Google Meet platform, and 13 parents participated.
A total of 31 workshops on media literacy and digital citizenship were held in St. Petar Orehovec school this and last year. Three more workshops were held in schools in the area. A total of 540 students, 36 teachers, and 22 parents participated in the workshops prepared within the Erasmus + project “Young journalists of today, responsible digital citizens of tomorrow”. /Stojanka Lesički/
