Croatian students motivational letters for mobility in North Macedonia

Dear Erasmus+ Staff,

my name is Petra, and I am 14 years old.  I’m going to the 8th grade, and I’m a member of the school journalism group.  That is how I found out about Erasmus+ projects.  I wrote many articles for Klinček, our school’s digital newspaper, and I’m active in the Students Council in my school St. Petar Orehovec.

I am quite a communicative person, and I like to meet new people. One day I want to travel the world and get to know as many different places as possible. That is why I am excited to go to Skopje and participated in Erasmus+ mobility.

I speak English pretty well. I have learned a lot of English by watching movies and TV series but also through books. I have never flown on a plane, nor  I have been outside of Croatia so I am even more excited. I hope that I will make new friends in Skopje and have a good time.

Sincerely, Petra Kušec

Lea Hrandek

Dear Erasmus+  Staff,

my name is Lea Hrandek and I’m 13 years old. I’m going in 7th grade and I live in Gušćerovec, a little place near my school. I’m a member of the journalism and art group. Our art group makes the animated films and the journalist group prepares articles for Klinček, the school’s digital newspaper.  I think I would be a good participant in Erasmus+ mobility because I love journalism and I’m interested in photography.

I expect to learn more things about journalism in Skopje so I can write better articles for Klinček.

In my free time, I love to read books, draw, take photos, play the piano, and more. I also love to listen to music and learn new things, and I’m always ready for new challenges.

Meeting new people is amazing to me. When I was in Cicevac I made some good friendships and learned new things about fake news.

I have never been to North Macedonia and I hope I will learn many things about North Macedonian culture and customs.

Yours sincerely, Lea

Marta Ban

Dear Erasmu+ Staff,

my name is Marta.  I’m attending seventh grade in St. Petar Orehovec School. I like to meet new friends and talk to people. But I don’t like people who divide people by their skin color or by nationality or dress style because I think the world would be boring if we all be the same.

I like to write but I mostly write it for me and about my feelings. I really like travel, but I never have had the chance to go outside Croatia or fly by plane and because of that I  would be very happy to participate in Erasmus+ mobility in Skopje.

Yours sincerely, Lea

Ivona Siladi

Dear Erasmus+ Staff,
my name is Ivona. I am 14 years old and I go in the 8th grade. I like to read. I have a lot of books at home, but some I don’t have I  find online. I also love to write, so sometimes I write for our school newspaper. At the journalism group, I found out about the Erasmus +
project “Young journalists of today, responsible digital citizens of tomorrow”.

I also like sports activities, especially cycling, rollerblading, and basketball. I actively trained in BC “Radnik” Križevci for two years.  About myself, I can say that I am quite an open and communicative person and I think that because of these characteristics I have a lot of
friends. I consider myself an empathetic person and I try to help everyone who needs help.  When I tell everyone, I mean it. I don’t judge people by their skin colour or nationality but by their personality.

I am very excited about traveling to Macedonia because I am going with my best friend Lara. I have never traveled outside of my country  Croatia, so I am excited about it and I can’t wait for the time to travel.

We have been planning a trip to Macedonia for about two years now and I hope that this time nothing will stop us and that on April 10th we will really travel on mobility to our colleagues in Skopje.

Dear Erasmus + Staff,

Lara Trušček

my name is Lara, I attend the 7th grade at the Sveti Petar Orehovec Elementary School, which is named after the village where I live. The village was named after St. Peter and the walnut trees.

I loved reading magazines since I was a child, so I joined a journalist group at our school, where I have actively been writing articles for the school newspaper “Klinček”.  I am attending the extracurricular activity “Animated Film” where we learn how to make animated films in a practical way. My favourite subject in school is history and one day I would like to be an archaeologist.

When I was little I wanted to go to the moon and be the second woman on the moon, so I got a telescope for my birthday, and now when I’m bored, I like to watch the stars in the evening. The stars are mostly seen on the hill above the village called Kalnik. Especially in August when the stars are falling. That shower of meteorites is called the tears of St. Lawrence. I also attended majorettes and participated in parades and competitions.

I would say about myself that I am communicative and that I can easily collaborate with other students, which is why I would like to join this Erasmus + project. I hope that through the trip and the activities we do, I will meet new people and practice conversation in English. I hope that I will learn some new things and gain some experiences to help me choose my future profession.
