Our school has been a partner in the Erasmus+ KA229 project “Young journalists of today – responsible digital citizens of tomorrow” since 2019. The student exchanges that are a part of this project were postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic until there were adequate conditions for them to be realized. In March 2022 the first student exchange took place where the school OS “Dositej Obradovich” from Chichevac, Serbia was the host school. The host school of the second student exchange was school, OOU “Lazo Angelovski” from Skopje, N. Macedonia ( 11 to 15 April 2022). The last of the mobilities took place from 30 May to 3 June 2022, in Romania, in the town of Alexandria.
On 30 May the students and teachers from Serbia, Croatia, and North Macedonia were introduced to our school, teachers, and students. It was the first day of the exchange and we all had a lot of fun. The day began with the welcome event in our school where the students and teachers from all three countries were welcomed in a Romanian traditional way, being served with home-made bread with a little pinch of salt, which is a sign of Romanian hospitality. Afterwards, all the teams present took pictures and then they visited our school: “Mihai Eminescu” Secondary School. The visitors were introduced to some of the primary school teachers who were then teaching their classes- they visited the preparatory graders, and the third and fourth graders as well. The short tour was later followed by the first activity from our agenda, the team building activity in order to get to know each other better. It was a very pleasant and fun-to-do activity, aiming the participants’ honesty in answering different questions about some situations they were confronted with. Both teachers and students took part and everyone had a good time.
After the short break, we continued with our next activity, the students’ from Croatia and Serbia presentations about Romania. At noon, the teams left for an afternoon full of adventure at Comana Park, where they walked, admired nature, had a pleasant lunch, and most of all enjoyed a boat ride and outdoor challenges. /Author: Andreea Popescu-7A; Photos: Bianca Bratu -7B/
